Malay and BPO

I met Contact Centre teams from VADS BPO today, listened to their experiences.

Most of them are Malays with degree in specific areas such as civil engineering, network engineering, business and economics. They are very fluent in English, well presented and educated. They sound happy and satisfied with their work.

I am impressed!!

Networking

I found new friends interested in the same area. Look like, i am expanding my networking over Malaysia? How interesting..

Sometimes it could be frustrating when they, who dont really understand the subject matter, talk loud but pointless.

Anyway, there will be a collaboration networking with VADS BPO next week. I am not so sure whether or not I will be able to attend all of their sessions. But of course, I will try.

Internal Audit Outsourcing

Latest discussion with one of the audit firms in Malaysia, revealed that government agencies have been recently outsource their internal audit and accounting work. Somehow, the Auditor General is in control of internal audit outsourcing. Audit firms are required to register with Ministry of Finance in order to be chosen as an internal auditor for the agencies.

Same goes to accounting outsourcing. Some of newly established government agencies such as Cybersecurity and Mynic are outsourcing their accounting work to IA Group. Their main reason for outsourcing is to establish an accounting system and control.

So, there you go..high demand for internal audit and accounting outsourcing from local government in Malaysia.

Small accounting firms

These are some pictures of small accounting firm in Chennai, India visited two years ago. The firm is providing accounting services to another small public accounting firm in UK. Full set of account preparation being outsourced without client's knowledge. Is this unethical?

The office is small and cramp. Staffs have to work long hours to meet the 24x7 meeting with UK companies.

We are looking for similar case in Malaysia.
